In addition to her clinical work, Dr Neela is also an author and health commentator. You may have seen her on Weekend ABC News Breakfast, or ABC TVs The Drum. She has written for Women’s Agenda, The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Saturday Paper and other publications on topics related to health.

Her bestselling debut novel, The Registrar, was published in 2022 by Allen and Unwin, and is available at all good bookstores, as well as in e-book and audiobook formats. As The Registrar has been commercially published, Neela does not have spare copies in her possession for donation or sale.
